Our Lady of the Snows in Sun Valley will have morning Mass on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:30 a.m. St. Charles Borromeo in Hailey will have morning mass in English on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 a.m., and in Spanish on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. Ordinarily, on mornings when Mass is not offered at Our Lady of the Snows, there will be a Communion service at 8:30 a.m.
There will be 3 scenes from the Nativity story staged with live animals and people, as well as lots of hot cocoa, and more! The event will take place outside, so make sure to wear a warm coat. Come at 5:00 for Mass, and bring the whole family for a unforgettable experience of the true meaning of Christmas.
We are pleased to announce the hiring of a new Music Coordinator/Choir Director for Our Lady of the Snows and St. Charles Borromeo, Ashley Mekeel. In the past we have asked people to record the names of departed loved ones in our Parish Book of Remembrance in the church entry. This year we are asking families and individuals to decorate their own pages with the names and pictures of their departed loved ones whom they wish to remember. We will place these personalized pages in special binders to be displayed at the altar starting Nov. 2. Blank pages and All Souls Day envelopes are available in the church entryway.
Parents who are interested in comprehensive religious education for their children and teens are invited to come to come to a discussion and informational meeting on Tues., Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the church. The parish will be proposing some new and exciting ideas on how to engage children and teens of the valley with the teaching of Jesus and the Church.
Join us for "The Creed", a brand new 6-part film series from Word on Fire, featuring Bishop Robert Barron leading us line by line through the words of the Nicene Creed. Registration is not required; drop-ins are welcome. Study dates: Oct. 7, 14, 21, 21; Nov. 11, 18.
In honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assissi, Fr. Ron will be blessing pets directly after 10:30 a.m. Mass. If you plan to attend Mass, please leave your pets in your car during the service.
Dorinda and her husband will be moving to western Washington to live on their sailboat and sail the Puget Sound. There will be a Farewell Tribute on Sat., Sept. 25, directly after 5:00 p.m. Mass. We will gather upstairs in the pews to present our spiritual bouquet and gifts of appreciation. All are welcome.
Tickets will be on sale at weekend Masses starting Aug. 7th. Chairs and parking spaces are $25 each, and all of the proceeds go to our youth program. The parade is Sat., Sept. 4th.

Regarding the COVID-19 guidelines and protocols for Sun Valley, Our Lady of the Snows will be following the recommendations of the state of Idaho and city of Sun Valley and the directions of Bishop Peter Christensen. Therefore, the use of face masks indoors and on the parish grounds is voluntary. Fr. Brady asks that you make the decision that best meets your needs, and that our parish move forward with charity, patience, and kindness.
Due to progress being made against the spread of Covid-19, Idaho State Governor Brad Little, along with the Idaho State Department of Health and Welfare, have announced that as of 11 May, Idaho is moving into Stage Four of the Idaho Rebound Guidelines. In response to this, Bishop Peter Christensen is instructing the Catholic Parishes of our Diocese “to remove COVID-19-based restrictions as we continue to move toward pre-pandemic conditions”...
